Traðir is a perfect place for basecamp. Offloading area or a small tech base could be in the grassland above the strip with special permission from the owners. Phone coverage is excellent.

Risk factors

Working in the sand can be tiresome. The waves can be treacherous, and the area offers no shelter from winds.


The area is popular with tourists. Closing this location should not be a problem with appropriate permission and permits.
