Þingvellir National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a significant location for both its natural beauty and cultural importance. It lies in a rift valley between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, creating stunning geological formations and landscapes. The park also holds historical significance as the site of Iceland's first parliament, Alþingi, established in 930 AD. With vast expanses of nature, including volcanic landscapes, clear waters, and an array of hiking trails, it is a key destination for outdoor activities and filming.
