Basecamp and facilities

The best access to the beach is from the main road onto a gravel road that will lead you to a big lot that can be used as a large basecamp. 50 meters further lies a medium size lot that can also be used. There is a bit of a walk with the equipment onto the beach, or you could use 4-wheelers or similar vehicles to access the long beach. There are no facilities at this location so everything needs to be brought in. Phone coverage is excellent.

Risk factors

The sand is thick and tiresome to walk in. The waves can be treacherous in certain weathers. If trucks and vehicles drive off the gravel road, they can easily get stuck in the black ash sand.

Visitors

The area is a low tourist attraction and those who stop tend to stay only a short while. This area is also very popular with locals playing with mud motorcycles and 4-wheelers, so the area needs to be closed off for bigger productions.
