Basecamp and facilities

This location offers many possibilities for basecamps, tech bases and easy access for equipment. There are minimal or no facilities at location so everything needs to be brought in: toilets, holding area and general basecamps. Phone coverage is not great and there are coves and areas where signals are bad.

Risk factors

The lake comes from a lukewarm source, which means that it is always at 3°C, so swimming, diving or other activities would need to be planned and supervised by a safety team. The lake is also a popular fishing spot. This is a geothermal area so information from park rangers or local service company is required before choosing a place to shoot.

Visitors

The area is popular with tourists and locals but can be managed with PAs and park rangers.
